Tuesday Weekly Fishing Report: March 18, 2025

A Much Needed Week Off

Paid Dividends Today

With the ice getting pretty suspect last week, our taxes needing attending to, and just needing a break; we had a whole week off. The ice refroze and is back in good condition, our taxes are done, and we are refreshed, ready for the final push.

With the current forecast, we have at least a week or maybe two if you count ‘on foot’. Maybe we will get to this Saturday or Sunday with a snobear.

We were pretty shallow today, less than 15 feet of water and the walleyes were willing participants. Buckshots were the ticket as well.

That ice sheet has gone through 2 colors now, but it seemed to be pretty good, aside from the bottom 6 inches. Leaves us with roughly 24 inches of decent ice out there. The next warmup and it will go pretty quick so be careful out there, spring snows are just around the corner as they have reached the S.D./N.D. border.

Good Luck out there!
