Extension Time!

No doubt in my mind that you will need an extension on Devils Lake, if not now, very shortly. I always have mine on, it is just easier that way, but without one, you are either going to be right to the knuckles or you won’t be getting through. Even with this warm-up coming over the next week, the ice is now thick to the point that an extension is necessary.

A lot of areas of the lake have become very, very rough. The drifts are rock hard now and traveling at too fact of a speed will cause some issues. In a bear, it is extremely rough, and you should drive slowly, in a truck or side by side, you are going to be giving your shocks a workout.

Even With The Cold!

Even with the nasty temperatures, there are still fish to be had shallow, less than 15 feet of water, early mornings and late evenings are the best and it is even worthwhile fishing into the dark in the evening, which is quite unusual for Devils Lake.

Buckshots, buckshots, busckshots, with minnow heads!

Good Luck out there!
