Monday Weekly Fishing Report: Feb 17 2025

Everything’s Been Deep!

Basin fishing in the deep bays this past week and a mixture of results. Some days they are snappin’ and some days they just come up and look. With -30 degrees and barometer all the way up to 30.77, the fishing was tough for a while today, but they did come around and bite a little.  Best option is either Varmints or Tungsten and a minnow head or whole minnow, if you can find some, those are getting harder to come by as well.

Two more days of cold, cold and then a massive warm-up. Who know what that is going to do to the fish, for a few days anyway it will probably shut them down, even more than they already have been.

To say that it has been a struggle on Devils Lake this winter would be an understatement and mother nature isn’t going to be doing us any favors in the short term, all’s one can do is keep grinding and hoping that things come around.

Good Luck out there!
