Well Over 20
Extensions Soon In The Bear
Cold snap down to 24 below, mini warm-up, now another cold front and we are sitting well over 20 inches. We had over 2 feet of ice today and about to get thicker with this next cold front plunging temperatures back below zero.
Only issues nor are some of the pressure ridges are also back in the refreeze after a little warm-up so there is going to be some expand-contract-expand going on making for some active ridges. Add to that, these strong winds are covering some of them up a little bit, add to that further with the strong winds today, we drove right over one after the fact and were just lucky to get across it. Be careful out there!
The Fishing
It continues to be one of the toughest bites we can remember. Walleyes weren’t even biting today for us. Everything was just shut down, managed 2 13-inch Eyes and 2 medium Perch. Not exactly what we were looking for. Back at it tomorrow!
Good Luck out there!
