Cold Front Fishing
And Going To Get Colder!
Considering the conditions, I think we had a pretty decent day. This latest cold snap is probably going to last at least 2 more days before it starts to warm up again so we are stuck with trying to grind out as many as we can. Everything was shallow today, less than 20 feet of water and everything was on a buckshot. We ripped some in with the ripping rap but they all bit on the buckshot, tipped with a minnow head.
Of note, we had some frogs in our Walleyes again today, digging in that mud again.
A little leery about even trying for Perch considering the conditions so we will be after the Eyes at least another day.
With the temps dipping to 25 below tonight, make sure you plug in your vehicles, gonna be slow to start in the morning.
