Eyes Are Biting!
Extreme cold means they are either going to be totally shut down or they are going to be all fired up. The latter was the case today as they are coming in batches and biting in under 10 feet of water today.
Buckshot’s and minnow heads were the key.
We had 11.5 inches of ice where we were today and that is the thickest ice that we have had to date. After Friday and the end of this cold snap I would guess we will have over a foot of ice out there and ATV/UTV and snobear travel will be possible on many areas of the lake. As you travel from west to east, that ice thickness goes down significantly but for the western extreme at least, we have some really good ice.
Good Luck out there!
