Gained An Inch and Three Quarters In 36 Hours

Making Ice!

We gained an inch and three quarters in 36 hours, so it is obvious that we are making ice pretty quickly. Now with the at being said, we don’t have a whole lot of pressure ridges yet, but with that kind of ice making you can be sure, they will be popping u in short order.

Both of the spots where i took measurements for today’s report were relatively close to shore so the ice out in the middle of the lake is going to be a bit less than where we measured, and we like the threshold for foot travel to be at least 4 inches.

Also, both measurements were taken from the Eastern portion of the fishery, so the western regions of the fishery are going to measure significantly thicker.

However, from our measurements today, I personally am confident in foot travel pretty much on the entire fishery. There might be a few spots where the geese have been keeping areas open, so I plan to avoid those spots, but there everywhere, else…

Game On!!

Good Luck out there!
