Double Duty and It Feels So Good!!
Doing double duty can be a very busy ordeal, but it can be very fun and kind of what we live for. Fishing one day and hunting the next, or sometimes even in the same day. Cast and blast, hooking eyes and blasting B52’s on the plains of North Dakota, truly an outdoorsman’s paradise!!
This last weekend we had a banger on Saturday, with 41 Canada’s hitting the dirt, Sunday wasn’t as good as we only downed 9, with 1 getting away and Geese that weren’t really into feeding. That will happen when the weather turns hot and humid, but 50 birds in two days is still pretty good.
Today, we switched gears and went out on the lake. We had planned for a south shore excursion but the wind had other ideas and we stayed on the north shore of the main bay. It was a little slower than we would have liked, but by 10:30 we were headed to the landing with our 5.
Less than 30 feet of water, spinners and worms.
