Consistent, Deeper Bite

Back To ‘2023’ Form

After the Summer of 2023, with the bite being so good every day, we got kind of spoiled. Then last winter happened, and I think it kind of messed the fish up a little bit. This summer started kind of slow, or not necessarily slow, but just real spotty. The last 2-3 weeks, seems like we are back to 2023 again. just a lot of fish biting and most days we are back at the dock by 11 or 12.

They have drifted a little deeper, as we are finding them closed to the 20–30-foot range. Almost lead core time and I think a guy could get them pretty good with lead core right now. I am just not ready to give up on what has become a pretty incredible spinner bite.

Crawlers, Lots of Crawlers!

Been a couple of days since I have even put a leech on, it’s now almost exclusively a worm bite. Some days we use a little gulp, but for the most part, I lie real crawlers and they have been producing. Starting to use some harnesses now, as some says they will just tap the ends. Not necessary but it will increase hookups some days.

Good Luck out there!
