Enjoy Your July 4th Weekend Holiday!!

Be Safe! Be Careful!

But Gosh Darn It, HAVE FUN!!

We would like to be the 1st to say have a wonderful and happy 4th of July weekend! Be safe, have fun, and celebrate to your hearts content! Party like crazy, we only get one ride, make the best of it!

This summer has been one of the best summer fishing seasons that we can remember, and you need to get out there and wet a line. Years like this don’t come around very often!

We were on a search to the East today and we found some, we found some empty water as well, and we ended up finding a Thumper!

Lots of guys are trolling cranks, lots of slip bobbering, but we are going to troll spinners because it puts an obscene number of fish in the boat and by the law of averages, we are going to end up with 10-20 fish from 15-19 inches!

The one area we haven’t really dabbled in yet is the Far East, but the west and the middle and the east all have fish, and in some cases, A LOT OF FISH!!

Finding that many fish in that many areas of the lake is pretty crazy!

Spinner Colors!

Whites, Chartreuse, Gold, Silver; sometimes I don’t think it would matter what color but those are some of the more effective ones.

Bottom bouncers in the 1, 1.5, and 2 ounces are working the best. I think the 1’s are too light and we are getting the bulk of our fish with 1.5’s.

Bait Selection!

Worms!!

Why worms and not leeches?

I think the water got too warm too quickly, but worms are beating leeches 5 – 1!

With bobbers it is probably the other way around but from what we are seeing, the bobbers are getting a lot more small fish and we would rather not deal with 100 10-12 inchers when there are so many good fish coming out with spinners!

Happy 4th!!

Good Luck out there!
