Amazing What Warmer Water Will Produce!!

The water is still warming and that warming is paying off in a big way. The Walleyes are getting very active in pretty much every area in the Western 1/2 of the lake. We touched 65 degrees as we left the water with our guide limit today and with the forecast, it looks like that warming is going to continue. With at least a little bit of wind, there are going to be active fish in many parts of the lake now.

My favorite time of the open water fishing is upon us!!

Lures!

Up until about 3 days ago we were using almost exclusively our favorite #7 Scatter Raps. As the fish have gotten a lot more active, we have branched out and our favorites to start experimenting with are:

  • #5 SR
  • #5 Scatter Rap
  • #5 SSR
  • #6 SSR
  • #7 SR
  • #7 SSR
  • #7 Scapper Rap

Today, the #5 SR was the hot version, need the colors?
