Not Many Problem Spots
Just Slush Pockets!
Even though there won’t be vehicle travel of the 4-door kind out there anytime soon, when you are traveling by ATV, UTV, or snobear and it starts to drop a little and bog down, there are two choices:
- Stop quick
- Give it the onion!
If you know the spot pretty well and are confident it is just a small pocket, give it to ‘er and you should be ok. If it is a high traffic area or you are new to the spot, we would travel carefully and proceed with caution.
There are slush pockets out there and some can be rather large, such as those high traffic areas we mentioned.
No one wants to spend minutes or hours trying to get a UTV or Snobear out of a big slush hole.
Otherwise, from what we have seen, everything is looking pretty good out there, well except for the amazing amounts of snow!!
With it being early January, and Winter just beginning, travel on the ice is going to be slow and ice production is going to be slow and steady. There won’t be as many people out on the ice so pressure will be nothing like we normally see. Always a bright side I guess!
Good Luck out there!
