Monday Weekly Fishing Report: December 12th, 2022!

Sometimes It’s Easy!

Sometimes It Takes Some Effort!

It’s Always A Good Time!

When the bite is on, the fish are stacked and the Perch are willing participants. Then they are a little off, like today, they just act ‘off’. So, in a week’s time, we were able to land almost 180 Perch. In a week, just a pretty unreal pace that we knew wouldn’t last and when it ended yesterday; it was a little bittersweet.

We did find fish today, and we landed some really nice Perch, just not the crazy fish that we had been on. What I can tell you, is the Perch bite is alive and well and looks to be that way for the immediate future.

On the 2 bites that we have been on, they have all been pretty shallow and we have observed two totally opposite end of the spectrum when it comes to how active they have been. Early perch are usually pretty active perch and some of the best time to target them is the early ice.

20 feet of water, minnow heads, Purple and Pind buck shots; an easy equation if you ask me!

Ice Is Building, Getting Thick!!

Last week we had some really good ice building days. It slowed a little bit this week but for the most part, I think we finished off the 1st foot. With some warmer days the next 3, and then another dip into the deep freeze and we should have the foundation for driving ice before Christmas break.

Good Luck out there!
