Wednesday Weekly Ice Conditions#16/Perch Alert!

Still Making Ice and Still Driving Our Trucks

Not much has changed on the ice thickness front except the fact hat we may have added an half an inch since last weeks ice report.  There is anywhere from 22-30 inches of ice on MOST of the lake and we are still driving our trucks.  The northern feeder lakes are also drivable and even though:

NO ICE IS SAFE ICE!

We plan on driving our trucks out for the foreseeable future.  We have a mini warm up coming the next few days and Thursday has a chance of rain but with the nightly lows below freezing, we are looking to be fishing into April.

PERMANENT ICE HOUSES OFF TODAY

The Ides of March was not a great day for Caesar, it is not a great day for Permanent House enthusiasts either.  They have to be off the ice at dark tonight.  You can haul them back out tomorrow but have to be removed daily from here on out.

PERCH ALERT!!

Out boys on the ice are reporting back to us that there are lots of Perch coming out of the Eastern portion of Devils Lake with this temperature rise and these points are all producing fish.  Kind of surprised us that they clicked on, but that is how it works on Devils Lake.

If you have already purchased the 2-25-17/2-26-17 Waypoints you already have these, if not, these are still GOLDEN!

These Crappie/Mega Perch are still there to be caught as well!

  1. This is the first time that I visited this web site. I am impressed! I’m from Wisconsin, and I was out to Devils Lake in Feb. We did pretty good, but could have been better, had I known about this site before I went.
